VPS hosting in Canada: Toronto and Vancouver

INET.WS has two VPS locations in Canada: Toronto in the east and Vancouver in the west. Both keep your data in Canada, both sell the same nine plans from $4 to $100 a month, and both can be checked before you order with the test IP in the table.

Why a Canadian location

The data stays in the country

Public-sector contracts, healthcare and many enterprise policies often require personal data of Canadians to be stored in Canada. A server in Toronto or Vancouver keeps it there. The provider is Canadian too: INET.WS is operated by inetCloud Inc., a company registered in British Columbia.

Close to Canadian users

Toronto serves Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, and it is also close to the US Northeast and the Great Lakes. Vancouver serves British Columbia and Alberta and sits next to the US Pacific Northwest.

Toronto or Vancouver

Toronto runs NVMe in the EXA data center at 35 John Street, downtown. Vancouver runs enterprise SSD in the eStruxture data center at 555 West Hastings Street. The plans and prices are the same, so the choice comes down to where your users are and whether the workload needs NVMe. If both coasts matter, run one server in each.

Questions

Is a Canadian VPS more expensive?

No. Toronto and Vancouver have the same nine plans and prices as every other INET.WS location, from $4 to $100 a month.

Can I test the connection from Canada before buying?

Yes. Ping the test IP of each city from your own network, or run ping, MTR and traceroute in the Looking Glass.

Can you move my servers from another provider?

Yes, free of charge. Our engineers move existing servers to INET.WS, and the switchover is planned with you in advance.
