VPS hosting in the USA: 9 locations from coast to coast
INET.WS has nine VPS locations in the United States: four on the East Coast, two in the middle of the country and three in the West. Each is a separate data center with its own address and its own test IP, and each sells the same nine plans, from $4 to $100 a month.

Which US location to pick
East Coast: Ashburn, New York, Atlanta, Miami
Ashburn, in Northern Virginia, and New York, with the data center across the river in Newark, New Jersey, serve the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. They are also the US locations closest to Europe, which matters when one server has visitors on both sides of the Atlantic. Atlanta covers the Southeast. Miami is the southernmost location and the nearest to Latin America and the Caribbean, and it runs NVMe.
Central: Chicago and Dallas
Chicago serves the Midwest and the Great Lakes. Dallas is in the middle of the country, which makes it a reasonable single location when your users are spread across the whole United States; it runs NVMe.
West Coast and Southwest: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle
Los Angeles is in One Wilshire, a downtown building that houses a large share of the West Coast’s network interconnections. Seattle serves the Pacific Northwest and western Canada. Phoenix, in Tempe, Arizona, covers the Southwest and runs NVMe.
NVMe or SSD
Three US locations run NVMe: Dallas, Miami and Phoenix. The other six run enterprise SSD at the same price. If the server hosts a database or writes heavily, start with one of the three.
Questions
Do all nine locations have the same plans?
Yes: the same nine plans and prices in every city, from 1 vCPU and 2 GiB of RAM for $4 a month to 14 vCPU and 40 GiB for $100.
How do I know which city is fastest for my users?
Ping the test IPs above from where your users are, or run ping, MTR and traceroute from each location in the Looking Glass. Two or three measurements usually settle it.
Can I run servers in several US cities?
Yes. Every server is ordered separately, so you can place each one in the city that suits it, for example one on each coast.
