What hardware do your Phoenix VPS servers run on?
Our Phoenix VPS run on Intel Xeon Gold 6152 processors (22 cores / 44 threads, 2.1 GHz base, 3.7 GHz turbo) at Omnis Network in Tempe, Arizona. Every Phoenix VPS is a KVM virtual machine with dedicated DDR4 ECC memory, 100% Enterprise NVMe SSD storage and a 500 Mbit/s port. Phoenix is a popular alternative to California for serving the US Southwest and West Coast.
Who is the Phoenix location a good fit for?
Phoenix is the standard alternative to California for serving the US Southwest and the West Coast: cheaper power, a dry climate that is kind to cooling, and very low exposure to earthquakes. Take it when you want west-coast reach without putting the machine in a seismic zone, when you are building a second west-side location for redundancy, or when you serve Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico directly. It pairs naturally with Los Angeles, close enough to be useful as a failover and far enough to be genuinely separate. Phoenix is one of the six NVMe locations, on Intel Xeon Gold 6152. It is a US jurisdiction, with no EU, UK or Canadian residency benefit.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover & Diners, China UnionPay, bank transfers and PayPal.
How much does it cost to enable automatic backups?
An instance with automatic daily backups enabled will have a 20% higher base monthly fee. Weekly backup for free.
I don't see my preferred operating system listed. Can I provide my ISO image of OS to install on VPS?
Yes, please provide a direct HTTP or HTTPS download link for the ISO image in your support ticket. Ensure that the link does not require authorization for access and submit it to our support team.
Do you support multiple IP addresses per VPS?
Many of our plans come with one primary IPv4 address. Additional addresses are available for an extra fee.
Do you allow SMTP?
In some instances, outbound traffic to the SMTP port may be blocked for new accounts. If you encounter this restriction, contact our support team from the portal.
What type of virtualization do you use?
We utilize KVM virtualization on all of our infrastructure.
Do you charge for stopped instances?
Yes, instances in a stopped state continue to reserve dedicated system resources (RAM, SSD storage, IP aliases, vCPU). If you wish to no longer accumulate charges for a virtual machine, please use the “Request cancelation” button in Client area of Portal.
What will happen when the bandwidth volume runs out?
– For the plan with one vCPU and two vCPU, the port speed will be reduced to 5Mbps.
– For all other plans, the port speed will be set to 10Mbps.
Do you support rDNS (PTR)?
Yes. We fully support rDNS. Every client can add or edit rDNS (PTR) records for their IPs directly in the Client Area
