What hardware do your Ashburn VPS servers run on?
Our Ashburn VPS run on host nodes powered by Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors (18 cores / 36 threads, 2.1 GHz base, up to 3.3 GHz turbo) at CoreSite VA1 in Northern Virginia. Every Ashburn VPS is a KVM virtual machine with dedicated DDR4 ECC memory, 100% Enterprise SSD storage and a 500 Mbit/s port. This makes it a solid choice for US East Coast workloads that need to sit next to the largest interconnection market in North America.
Who is the Ashburn location a good fit for?
Northern Virginia is the largest data centre market in the world, and Ashburn sits at the centre of it. A large share of transatlantic and US east-coast traffic passes through this corridor, so a server here is close to the networks your users are already on rather than a few hops away. Take it if your audience is on the US east coast, if you serve both North America and Europe from one machine, or if you need to sit near services that are themselves hosted in Northern Virginia. It is a US jurisdiction, so it is the wrong choice when the requirement is that data stay in the EU, the UK or Canada. Ashburn runs on Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 nodes with Enterprise SSD; if you want the newer Xeon Gold platform on the east coast, look at New York.

How much does it cost to enable automatic backups?
An instance with automatic daily backups enabled will have a 20% higher base monthly fee. Weekly backup for free.
I don't see my preferred operating system listed. Can I provide my ISO image of OS to install on VPS?
Yes, please provide a direct HTTP or HTTPS download link for the ISO image in your support ticket. Ensure that the link does not require authorization for access and submit it to our support team.
Do you support multiple IP addresses per VPS?
Many of our plans come with one primary IPv4 address. Additional addresses are available for an extra fee.
Do you allow SMTP?
In some instances, outbound traffic to the SMTP port may be blocked for new accounts. If you encounter this restriction, contact our support team from the portal.
What type of virtualization do you use?
We utilize KVM virtualization on all of our infrastructure.
Do you charge for stopped instances?
Yes, instances in a stopped state continue to reserve dedicated system resources (RAM, SSD storage, IP aliases, vCPU). If you wish to no longer accumulate charges for a virtual machine, please use the «Request cancelation» button in Client area of Portal.
What will happen when the bandwidth volume runs out?
– For the plan with one vCPU and two vCPU, the port speed will be reduced to 5Mbps.
– For all other plans, the port speed will be set to 10Mbps.
Do you support rDNS (PTR)?
Yes. We fully support rDNS. Every client can add or edit rDNS (PTR) records for their IPs directly in the Client Area
